Application Day
Wednesday — Application Day
We're at the midpoint of the week — a good place to pause and ask: how is Sunday's message actually changing how I live?
Today's Scripture: "When Aquilla and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately." — Acts 18:26
Reflection: Apollos was gifted, passionate, and sincere — but he had an incomplete picture. So Aquilla and Priscilla didn't correct him publicly or embarrass him. They took him aside, privately, and helped him grow.
That's discipleship in action. Not a program. Not a curriculum. Just two people willing to invest in one.
This week's sermon gave us three questions designed to move faith from concept to practice. They're worth returning to today — slowly, honestly, and without rushing past the discomfort they might stir up.
Question 1 — Who has God placed beside you? Not who you wish He had sent. Who is actually in your life right now — at work, in your neighborhood, in this church — who might be your Aquilla or Priscilla?
Question 2 — Where do you need to trust His presence instead of your feelings? Feelings are real, but they're not always reliable. Where is God asking you to keep going even when it doesn't feel like it's working?
Question 3 — Who are you intentionally helping grow in Christ? Disciples don't make themselves. Someone has to take them aside. Who is your Apollos?
Today's Application: Choose one of the three questions above and write down a name. Then take one small step toward that person this week — a text, a coffee, a conversation.
A Closing Thought: Transformation doesn't happen in isolation. It happens in the ordinary, intentional moments between people who are willing to show up for each other.
