Application Day

Wednesday — Application Day

What if the assignment you've been waiting to feel ready for is the
one God has already placed right in front of you?

Today's Scripture: "Pick out from among you seven men of good repute,
full of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this
duty." — Acts 6:3

Reflection:

On Monday we established the truth: God raises people, not just
momentum. Yesterday we faced the challenge: we can't carry it alone.
Today we get practical.

The apostles didn't search outside the church for qualified leaders.
They looked at the people already in the room and said — the ones we
need are already here. Full of the Spirit. Full of wisdom. Ready to
step in.

That's you. That's the person in the room.

So here are three concrete ways to step off the sidelines this week:

One — Show up to pray together. The early church didn't grow because
of strategy. It grew because people got in one accord and sought God
together. If your church has a prayer gathering, be there. If it
doesn't yet, pray that God raises one up — and be willing to be part
of it.

Two — Get in a small group. Acts 6 happened in community. The widows
were noticed because people were paying attention to each other. Small
groups are where you stop being a spectator and start becoming a
disciple. If you're not in one, this week is the week to change that.

Three — Ask the honest question. Where is God asking you to step into
an assignment you've been holding back from? Bring that question to
God today — and then sit still long enough to hear the answer.

Today's Application: Choose one of these three steps and take it today
— not next week, not when things settle down. Today.

A Closing Thought: The people God needs for the next chapter are
already in the room. One of them is you.
