Testimony Day

Thursday — Testimony Day

What if the most powerful thing you brought into a difficult situation wasn't your strength — but your honesty?

Today's Scripture: "We are overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony." — Revelation 12:11

Reflection: There's a story that stays with you.

A woman volunteering at a camp for abused and neglected children found herself walking to chapel beside a little girl who told her she was mad at God. The girl had experienced unthinkable loss — the kind of grief no child should carry.

The woman could have offered a tidy theological answer. Instead, she said something unexpected: "I'm mad at God, too."

She was in her own season of grief. She had shown up to serve, but felt completely unqualified. She had almost turned back. But in that moment of shared honesty, something opened up — a bond formed between a broken adult and a broken child, and over the course of that week, they worked through it together.

That little girl eventually ran away when it was time to leave. Not because camp was so fun — but because she didn't want to lose what she'd found: someone who saw her, stayed with her, and pointed her toward a God who hadn't abandoned her after all.

One week mattered. Not because anyone had it all together, but because someone showed up anyway.

Today's Application: Reflect on this: Where in your life is God asking you to show up even when you don't feel ready? Your honesty and presence may be exactly what someone else needs to find their way back to the Father.

A Closing Thought: You don't have to be whole to be used. You just have to be willing. God does the rest.
