Testimony Day

Thursday — Testimony Day

What if the role you thought was too small turned out to be exactly
where God wanted to show up through you?

Today's Scripture: "And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing
great wonders and signs among the people." — Acts 6:8

"And gazing at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face was
like the face of an angel."— Acts 6:15

Reflection:

Stephen wasn't chosen to preach. He was chosen to serve tables — to
make sure widows were being cared for, to handle the
behind-the-scenes, practical work of a growing church.

And yet here he is: full of grace and power, doing great wonders and
signs. Standing before a hostile council that wanted to silence him —
and instead of fear on his face, they saw something that stopped them
cold. His face looked like the face of an angel.

Not because Stephen was performing. Not because he was trying to look
holy. But because he had been with Jesus. Because he was so full of
the Holy Spirit that it showed up on him whether he was serving a meal
or standing before his accusers.

Stephen didn't get that face by trying harder. He got it by staying
full. By coming back to the presence of God again and again, day after
day, and saying — fill me again. Send me again. Use me again.

The miracle wasn't just what Stephen did. The miracle was who Stephen
had become.

That kind of transformation is available to every one of us. Not
because of our title or our talent or our position — but because of
who we carry.

Today's Application: Ask yourself honestly: Would the people around me
today see something different on my face because I've been with Jesus?
If not, spend five minutes in his presence before you do anything
else.

A Closing Thought: You don't need a platform to carry the presence of
God. You just need to stay full.
