Forward Day
Friday — Forward Day
As you head into the weekend, carry this with you: you are not going out empty. You've been to the table.
Today's Scripture: "For I have received from the Lord what I also passed on to you." — 1 Corinthians 11:23a (NIV)
Reflection: All week, we've been circling the same beautiful truth: we carry the Father's heart to others because the Father's heart has been extended to us first.
We explored on Monday what pure, genuine faith looks like — showing up for the vulnerable. On Tuesday, we were honest about what it feels like to try to give from an empty place. Wednesday, we got practical — presence, patience, life-giving words.
Thursday, we were reminded that showing up broken and honest can still reveal the Father's heart in ways we never expected.
And today, we arrive here: go as someone who has been to the table.
The table of communion reminds us of this. We didn't earn our place there. We weren't turned away because we hadn't figured it all out. We were welcomed — weary, broken, imperfect — and given exactly what we needed. Forgiveness. Identity. Belonging.
That same welcome is what we carry into the world. Into our homes this weekend. Into conversations with neighbors. Into moments with our kids. Into every interaction where someone needs to know they are seen, known, and loved.
The same Jesus who welcomed us to his table sends us to make room at ours.
Today's Application: This weekend, look for one person who might need to know they belong — and make space for them. Carry the welcome you've received into every room you enter.
A Closing Thought: You have been seen. You have been known. You have been carried. Now go — and let someone else experience that through you.
