As you head into the weekend, here's one thing worth carrying with you: the same Spirit who moved through Acts 16 lives in you right now.
Today's Scripture: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." — Acts 16:31
Reflection: We've walked through a lot this week. We've sat with closed doors and the discomfort of redirection. We've been honest about the doubt that creeps in when God's timing doesn't match ours. We've looked at what it means to show up for the Lydias in our lives. And yesterday, we watched Paul and Silas worship in chains at midnight.
Now here's where it all lands.
At the end of Acts 16, after everything — the blocked roads, the vision, the riverside conversation, the prison, the earthquake — Paul and Silas go to Lydia's house. They see the believers. They encourage them. And then they move forward.
That's the rhythm of Spirit-led living. Trust the closed doors. Walk through the open ones. Worship in the midnight hour. Encourage the people around you. And keep moving.
This weekend, you'll gather again with your church family — people who are navigating their own closed doors, their own midnight hours, their own questions about whether God still sees them. Your presence matters. Your worship matters. Your willingness to show up when it's hard matters.
The Spirit who said no to Asia and yes to Macedonia — the Spirit who opened Lydia's heart and shook the prison foundations — that same Spirit is not finished with what he's building in you and in your community.
Today's Application: Before Sunday, revisit the three questions from this week's sermon: What closed door do I need to trust God with? What open door is he asking me to walk through? Am I willing to worship him in the midnight hour?
A Closing Thought: When God opens a door, no prison can keep it shut, no opposition can reverse it, and no midnight can outlast it. Go into your weekend with that confidence — and bring it with you when you gather on Sunday.
