Sometimes God doesn't show up the way we expect. Sometimes He shows up driving a wrecker at 3 a.m.
Today's Scripture: "He found a certain Jew named Aquilla... and because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked." — Acts 18:2–3
Reflection: In Sunday's sermon, Pastor Scott shared a story that stopped the room.
It was early in his walk with Jesus. A nightmare scenario — a bad accident, family members hurt, chaos everywhere. And the first person on the scene wasn't a pastor or a counselor. It was Tom — a man who ran a record service. An ordinary man.
Tom stayed the entire night. Helped clear a sofa. Turned it into an altar. And prayed.
He didn't show up to do ministry. He just showed up.
And that moment became part of the foundation of who Pastor Scott is today.
That's exactly what Aquilla and Priscilla did for Paul. They didn't set out to shape one of the greatest missionaries in church history. They just shared their trade, opened their home, and made room.
God builds His church through people like Tom. People like Aquilla and Priscilla. People who are available when it matters — not because they have all the answers, but because they're willing to stay.
You may never know the full impact of simply showing up for someone in their hardest moment. But God does. And He has a way of weaving those ordinary moments into something far greater than any of us can see.
Today's Application: Think of someone who showed up for you in an ordinary but significant way. Take a moment to thank God for them — and consider reaching out to let them know what their presence meant.
A Closing Thought: God doesn't always send angels. Sometimes He sends a neighbor, a coworker, or a friend with a wrecker. Be the person who stays.
