This week we've walked through some significant ground. We've seen that our identity in Christ is the anchor that holds when accusations come. We've been honest about why criticism hits harder than it should. We've asked ourselves the uncomfortable questions about our "someday" pile. And we've been reminded that a life lived with integrity is a testimony no one can argue with.
But here's what ties it all together — and what Paul's story in Acts 24 quietly demonstrates throughout: he was not doing this alone.
Every time Paul stood firm — before the crowd in Jerusalem, before Felix in Caesarea, through two years of waiting in prison — he was surrounded by people who prayed with him, traveled with him, and sat with him in the hard places. Community wasn't a bonus feature of his faith. It was built into the blueprint.
The inspiration you feel on a Sunday can fade by Tuesday without people around you who are walking the same road. Your ability to stand firm when it costs you gets developed in community. It gets shaped in community. It gets strengthened in community.
