Thursday — Testimony Day
Have you ever experienced a moment so perfectly timed that you knew — you just knew — it couldn't be coincidence?
Today's Scripture: "Paul's testimony wasn't the end of the story. It was the beginning of his ministry." (Acts 22:21, in context)
"For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard." — Acts 22:15
Reflection:
Picture this: two people decide to follow Jesus on the same Sunday, at the same moment, in different churches. One of them is brand new to faith — nervous, unsure what his coworkers will think, wondering if he made the right choice. The other is at his church across town, where the pastor encourages everyone to write a letter of encouragement to someone who needs to hear from God.
That letter lands on a Kennedy roller at work. The new believer opens it and weeps.
God was working in two places at once, through two ordinary people, neither of whom knew what the other was doing.
That's what testimony does. It doesn't stay contained to the moment it's shared. It travels. It plants. It surfaces later in ways you'll never fully see this side of heaven. The person who wrote that letter had no idea the timing would be that precise. He just obeyed.
Paul wasn't rescued so he could have a great personal story. He was rescued because somebody else needed to hear it. The same is true for you. Your story has already traveled further than you know — and it still has places to go.
Today's Application: Think about someone who shared their story with you at just the right moment. Reach out to them today — a text, a call, a note — and tell them what their words meant to you. Then ask God who needs that same gift from you.
A Closing Thought: You may never see the full ripple of what your testimony sets in motion. Trust the one who does — and tell your story anyway.
