Challenge Day

Tuesday — Challenge Day

Be honest — when someone criticizes you, do you go quiet and replay it for hours, or do you come out swinging and say things you later regret?

Today's Scripture: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age." — Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)

Reflection:
Yesterday we established the foundation: our identity in Christ is the anchor that holds. But knowing that truth and living it are two very different things.

Here's the honest reality — most of us, when we get accused of something, especially when it's not entirely true or it comes from someone we respect, we react. We either shrink and start apologizing for things we didn't even do wrong, or we go on the offensive and end up looking worse than the accusation did.

The struggle is real. And it doesn't mean you're failing spiritually. It often means your identity isn't as settled as you thought — and that's actually useful information.

The battle isn't against the person who said the hurtful thing. The real battle is happening in the unseen realm, where the enemy uses accusations, half-truths, and other people's words as tools to get inside and rearrange who you know yourself to be.

The good news? Recognizing it is the first step. You can't address what you won't acknowledge. When the criticism lands harder than it should, don't just push through — pause and ask: What is this revealing about where I'm looking for my identity?

Today's Application: Think of a recent criticism or accusation that still stings. Instead of defending yourself or burying it, bring it to God honestly today. Ask him: Why does this bother me so much?

A Closing Thought: God isn't surprised by your reaction. He's ready to meet you right there — and begin the work of settling your identity from the inside out.
