Friday — Forward Day
The week is almost over. Before it ends, there's one question worth sitting with: Who has God placed in your life right now who needs to hear your story?
Today's Scripture: "What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord." — Acts 22:16
Reflection:
All week, we've been building toward this moment. We've looked at why your past matters. We've named the fears that keep your story locked inside. We've built a simple framework — the Then, the Jesus, the Now. We've seen what happens when ordinary people share their stories at just the right time.
Now it's time to go.
Not with a rehearsed speech. Not with all the theological answers. Just with your story — honest, unpolished, and pointing toward Jesus. Open doors don't always look like a stage and a microphone. Sometimes they look like a round table at a family reception, a coworker having a hard week, or a neighbor who seems fine but isn't.
Ask God for one name. Just one. Then trust him to open the door in his timing — and trust yourself to walk through it when he does.
Your testimony isn't a personal highlight reel. It's not about how far you've come. It's a witness. It points away from you and toward the one who was faithful when you weren't, present when you felt alone, and able to do in someone else exactly what he did in you.
The greatest testimony isn't look what happened to me. It's look how faithful Jesus has been.
Today's Application: This weekend, ask God for one name — a coworker, a neighbor, a family member — and pray specifically for an open door to share even one part of your story with them. You don't need a perfect moment. You just need a willing heart.
A Closing Thought: You are a witness. Your story belongs to God. And somewhere in Mid-Michigan, someone is waiting to hear it.
