Friday — Forward Day
The book of Acts ends without a conclusion — and that's entirely on purpose.
Today's Scripture: "Then he [Paul] dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him." — Acts 28:30–31
Reflection:
All week, we've been building toward this moment.
Monday: your past is a bridge, not a barrier. Tuesday: don't hide your story, and don't forget it. Wednesday: stay available, obey the prompting, let your story do the work. Thursday: a U-turn in a parking lot changed a life — obedience always costs something and always matters.
And now, Friday.
Paul's story ends under house arrest in Rome. No dramatic courtroom victory. No triumphant exit. Just a rented house, an open door, and a man who kept preaching — without hindrance.
Even in chains. Even at the end. The mission kept going.
Here's the thing about the book of Acts: it doesn't have a closing chapter because we are the closing chapter. Acts 29 is being written right now — through your workplace, your neighborhood, your family dinner table, your gas station stop, your parking lot conversation.
The blueprint is clear: saved, transformed, sent. The same Jesus. The same mission. Continuing through ordinary people who said yes.
As you head into the weekend and back to worship on Sunday, carry this with you: you are not just attending a church. You are the church, on assignment, every day of the week.
Today's Application: Write down one specific "yes" you're committing to this week — one way you'll step into the assignment. Share it with someone who will hold you to it.
A Closing Thought: God doesn't bring us out of our past. He sends us into somebody else's future. Go be sent.
