Wednesday — Application Day
You can spend years sharpening a sword and never once step onto the battlefield. Faith works the same way.
Today's Scripture: "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." — Colossians 3:23
Reflection: We've spent two days this week building a foundation: the mission continues through changing circumstances, and it stays strong when Jesus remains the center. Today is the day to ask the practical question — so what do I actually do?
Here's the truth: the harvest doesn't wait for us to feel ready. The people around us — at work, at school, in our neighborhoods, at the gas station, in our own families — are not hypothetical. They're real, and they're waiting. Not for a program or a perfect plan, but for someone willing to show up.
Three practical ways to live this out today:
1. Go where you already are. The mission doesn't require a mission trip. Your workplace, your neighborhood, your gym — these are your mission field this week.
2. Respond instead of observe. When you see a need today, resist the urge to think someone should do something. Ask God if you're the someone.
3. Let obedience be your first move. Sometimes the most faithful thing is simply saying yes before you have all the answers. Radical obedience often looks like action before clarity.
The church isn't just called to gather. It's called to go.
Today's Application: Choose one person in your life who could use encouragement, help, or simply someone to notice them. Reach out to them today — a text, a call, a knock on the door.
A Closing Thought: The sword is sharpened. Today is a good day to use it.
