Forward Day

Friday — Forward Day
Luke ends the Book of Acts without really ending it. No conclusion. No "The End." Just Paul, in a rented house, preaching the kingdom — and the story left wide open.

Today's Scripture: "Preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him." — Acts 28:31

Reflection: All week we've been walking through a single, powerful idea: the mission continues. Through shipwrecks and snakebites, through rented houses and unexpected islands, through disunity and distraction and delayed plans — the mission continues.

And here's the thing about Acts 28 ending the way it does. It's not an accident. Luke leaves it open because the story isn't finished. It passed from Paul to the early church, from the early church through generations of faithful men and women, and now — right now — it has landed with us.

The question isn't what Paul did. The question is what we do with what God has placed in our hands.

This weekend, you'll gather again with your church family. You'll worship. You'll reconnect. And then you'll walk back out into your neighborhood, your workplace, your family — and the mission continues there, too.

You are Acts 29. The harvest in your community is real. The people around you are one faithful conversation, one act of kindness, one turned-around car away from an encounter with the living God.

Don't wait for things to settle. Don't wait until you feel ready. Go.

Today's Application: As you head into the weekend, ask God for one specific opportunity to carry the mission into your everyday world — and commit to saying yes when it comes.

A Closing Thought: The story is still being written. This weekend, you get to be part of the next chapter.
