Day 5 —
You’re Here—So Let’s Be Here Together
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:27
“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.”
Think about a piano.
One hand can make music.
But when the hands, fingers, feet, pedals, timing, and mind all work together, something much greater happens.
That’s the picture of the church.
You matter.
But you aren’t the whole body.
I matter.
But I’m not the whole body.
We need one another.
Your gift matters.
Your presence matters.
Your prayer matters.
Your encouragement matters.
Your service matters.
Your story matters.
And when one person withdraws, the whole body feels it.
The answer to church hurt isn’t always walking away from the church.
Sometimes the answer is allowing God to heal us within the family He placed us in.
The early church didn’t get everything right.
Acts shows us disagreements, misunderstandings, growing pains, persecution, correction, and change.
But they kept coming back together.
They kept learning.
They kept praying.
They kept growing.
They kept becoming.
That’s the invitation for us.
Not:
“What can the church do for me?”
But:
“What has God placed inside of me that the Body needs?”
You are not just another person in a seat.
You are a member of the Body.
So don’t just come to church.
Be the church.
Don’t just receive.
Contribute.
Don’t just expect to be encouraged.
Encourage.
Don’t just wait for someone to pray for you.
Pray for someone else.
Don’t just look for what you can get.
Look for what you can give.
Reflection:
What part am I supposed to play in the Body of Christ right now?
Prayer:
“Father, thank You for making me part of something bigger than myself. Heal the places where church hurt has caused me to withdraw. Help me forgive, grow, serve, connect, and participate. Make me a healthy part of the Body of Christ. Let me not simply come to church—let me be the church. Amen.”
Five-Day Declaration
I belong to the Body.
I need the Body.
The Body needs me.
I will keep growing.
I will stop blaming.
I will stay connected.
I will serve.
I will encourage.
I will pray.
I will participate.
I’m here—so let’s be here together.
