Challenge Day

Tuesday — Challenge Day
Have you ever felt like you're making spiritual progress, only to find yourself right back where you started?

Today's Scripture: "Do you want more and more of God's kindness and peace? Then learn to know him better and better. For as you know him better, he will give you through his great power everything you need for living a truly good life." — 2 Peter 1:2-3

Reflection:

Yesterday we talked about reopening the wells — those places in our lives where God has already been faithful. But let's be honest about something: the filling-back-in doesn't stop. Circumstances pack the dirt in. Anxiety creeps back. Old habits resurface. Grief settles. Busyness accumulates. And before long, what once flowed freely feels blocked again.

This is not a sign that you've failed. It's actually a sign that digging is a lifestyle, not a one-time event.

Peter's letter speaks directly to this. He doesn't write to people who have it all together — he writes to people who need reminding that God's power has already given them everything they need. The invitation isn't to try harder on your own. It's to know God better. To return to his presence, again and again, as the source.

The enemy's strategy is simple: fill the well back in and hope you don't notice until you're thirsty. But God's strategy is better — he keeps the water there, waiting, and calls you back to dig.

It's okay if today feels dry. That's exactly where this conversation starts.

Today's Application: Identify one area of your life where you've felt spiritually dry lately. Instead of trying to fix it, simply bring it to God in prayer today and tell him honestly where you are.

A Closing Thought: God is not disappointed in your dry season. He's already prepared the living water — he's just waiting for you to dig back down to it.
